When setting an appointment, you must consider few things:
- Decide one question. Avoid yes/no questions. Remeber, cards won't tell directly what to do, however they can put some light on a situation or possible development but any choice is ultimatively yours to make.
- You may choose some example spreads from my site, but when setting an appointment via IRC, we can together decide all details. If you are not interested in choosing a spread you can leave it to me. Layout choice is only optional. What matters most is your question.
- Important! Check my status (displays in left upper corner, above the menu - info about whether I have free terms left in a current week or not) and schedule!
- Decide what day and time is most suitable for you. Reading takes time, such things shouldn't be hurried. Nice, relax atmosphere is preferable. In your considerations take into account my time zone ( European CET+1) and my schedule. You may use Time Zone Calculator (place to convert from could be: Germany, Austria, Poland, etc.). Your time zone is displayed in Appointment, Schedule and Tarot Reading section below main menu, on the left side of my site.
- The best and quickest way to talk through about all reading details is via IRC chat! Lately I am rarely available at the computer so writing an E-Mail is the best method to reach me! When communicating with E-Mails, you must count, it could take a bit longer. Remember, I do readings in my spare time, so I am not available all the time and you must be patient. This is not a site for simple quickies!
If you are newbie to IRC, read below!
1. You can access my IRC channels either by this site (Appointment and Reading pages) or use any IRC client (Chatzilla - an add-on to Firefox, IceChat, mIRC and others; google it; there is plenty of them, but first learn about IRC before using them; if you are not interested in it, web based chat will do fine). In last case you need to know:
2. When you log in into a server and channel from my site, be patient, it could take 15s to even a minute in worst but rare cases. If longer, refresh the page. If everything is all right, you should see a chat window with a user list on right side. Note, that first you are logged in into a server, then into a channel, so be patient and wait for channel chat window to load (it happens automatically), not server window which shows first.
3. If channel is empty, that is, I am absent, check back later or write me an E-Mail.
3. When you see channel and its users (me as zalbarath and you with a chosen nick), say hello or anything to draw my attention. My IRC is running in background and obviously I am not starring on a channel window waiting for you to come, so writing in a channel will trigger a sound and graphic response on my computer. If I am at my keyboard, I will respond quickly. If not... you must wait or come later. But if I am present but not responding, that means I will be able to read later whatever you wrote, so you can leave me a note. If you have time, keep the tab with the chat open so you could be logged in and I will answer when I get back, check out your chat tab.
4. Neither Internet, nor IRC servers or computer are flawless so sometimes (luckily it's not common) connection breaks happen. Usually it takes shorter then a minute so when I or you will be logged off unintentionally, wait till it all comes back or refresh the page. If problem continues, we can reschedule the meeting (you can always contact me through E-Mail).
5. Sometimes, when you are not active on your browser, connection with channel could be severed. I assume that during a reading that should be rarely the case ;). However some program/computer mistakes could cause some freezing/delay times, so response to server takes too long and it severs the connection. In such case refresh the page.
6. Sometimes when you get quickly disconnected and reconnected, your old nick is still active (visible in chat window) so you need to choose an alternative one (usually with a number or some "_" sign, for example John2 or John_), old one will disappear shortly as its session expires.
7. Despite what is written above, an IRC chat is a great way of communication and for the most time it works fine :).
